 Description   

We need to update systems to RHEL 7.4, which run Lustre 2.8.  This includes both clients and servers.

Please backport the appropriate patches to the 2.8 FE branch, so that we can cherry-pick them and build working Lustre packages for those environments.

So b2_8_fe has everything needed to build and run under RHEL 7.4 except for IB related issues being worked under LU-10089, and when that ticket is finished this one will be, too?

don't know about LU-10089. don't think those problems are specific to el7.4 at all.
