 Description   

Running lfs changelog <device> invariably returns EIO and outputs: Changelog: Input/output error", unless there aren't any changelog records to read.

This appeared after this commit: cd36001b "LU-10218 mdc: propagate changelog errors to readers". I do not know whether the commit introduced a bug or simply highlighted an already existing one.
