 Description   

Our production Lustre servers are running CentOS 6.8 and Lustre 2.7.3 FE.
Since Redhat only applied the patch of Meltdown-Spectre to 6.9 (and 7.4), we need 6.9 support in b2_7_fe.

In our internal discussion, Mahmoud decided to upgrade to rhel7.4 and lustre 2.10 instead of 6.9.
So, we do not need 6.9 support then. The ticket can be closed.
