We've seen this in interop testing with master 2.10.59 servers and 2.10.3 clients. Logs are at:

CORRECTION: We are seeing a different error in our interop testing on sanity-pfl test_2. From the client logs, we see that 'lfs setstripe --component-add ...' is failing
