missing -luuid causes this error on my setup:

/opt/crosstool/lib/gcc/x86_64-unknown-linux/4.7.2/../../../../x86_64-unknown-linux/bin/ld: warning: libuuid.so.1, needed by /opt/crosstool/lib/libblkid.so, not found (try using -rpath or -rpath-link)
