Is this a different system down compared to that tracked by LU-11574?

There are several filesystem having issue. the workaround for  issue LU-11574 worked.

So this is a different filesystem.

You could try e2fsprogs-1.44.3.wc1, which has a number of improvements for xattrs

If the problem does not occur using the latest e2fsprogs (which is always recommended) doesn't that mean the ticket can be closed?
