It is reported that it's possible to do ONLY="x-y" to execute a range of tests. Unfortunately that seems to no longer honor ALWAYS_EXCEPT and EXCEPT flags. so we need a way to reinstate that. |

If it used "ONLY=x..y" then we could use bash built-in functionality to expand this to a list of numbers. |
