The clearing of the ea_inode feature was removed in patch https://review.whamcloud.com/33012 "LU-11215 tests: replace 'large_xattr' with 'ea_inode'" because this is no longer supported in newer e2fsprogs. That patch was also backported to b2_10.

I suspect this specific problem will not be seen again.

This was fixed for 2.12.0 and 2.10.6, but the failed test was during interop testing with 2.11.0 clients and test scripts, but using e2fsprogs-1.44.5.wc1.
