[LU-12170] sanity 43a may fail as it's not a binary Created: 08/Apr/19  Updated: 04/Jun/20  Resolved: 25/Nov/19

Status: Resolved
Project: Lustre

Environment:

locally I'm getting lots of sanity/43a failures with the following output:
sanity test_43a: @@@@@@ FAIL: expected error, got success

basically it means that multiop binary started from Lustre can be open for write which is not correct.
according to the logs multiop file is open for execution and closed right away while it's supposed to stay open util SIGKILL is sent. not sure about exact sequence, but it looks related to libtool wrapping.
