I am just looking for an explanation of the above messages. The mount.lustre error occurs on both server targets and client mounts. The "select flavor null" message appears on the MDS when the client mounts the file system. They appear to be informational only since they aren't associated with any error messages. Feel free to close the ticket after responding. Thanks. |

The "select flavor null" message is removed in 2.2, but I'm not sure what the addmntenr message is from. |

The addmntent message comes from a failed call to addmntent() that is supposed to add the mount entry to /etc/mtab. I imagine the reason must be because you have /etc/mtab as a symlink somewhere non-writeable (like /proc/mounts). |
