 Description   

lustre_version_code() is called each time when do_rpc_nodes()
is called. It is not needed to detect versions for RPC_MODE mode.

Attached test_21d() stdout shows that one test executes lustre_version_code() 29 times on mds1:

grep "get_param -n version" /Users/c17455/Downloads/21d.stdout.log  | grep fre0205 | wc -l
