 Description   

Port the LU-1415 patches that have landed to master to b2_1, so that interoperability testing with b2_1 clients and master servers.

b2_1 clients will need the patches landed to master under LU-1415 as soon as we start interoperability testing between b2_1 and a newer version with OFD and ZFS OSD servers. I'm not sure if we are to test 2.1 clients withe 2.3 OFD-based OSSs, since OFD and ZFS OSD will be previews in 2.3.

I'm changing "affects version/s" to 2.1. Please re-consider the priority.

I have to pick a specific 2.1 release for "affects version/s". 2.1.3 is probably too early.

The work is being done by Yu Jian under LU-1526. I'm marking this as a duplicate.
