In review of https://review.whamcloud.com/#/c/fs/lustre-release/+/49516 Oleg reported for his RHLE7 debug kernel a __might_sleep() with the genl_lock(). Examining this I believe this to be a bug in the Netlink layer for the RHEL7 kernel. I believe the upstream fix 707693c8a498697aa8db240b93eb76ec62e30892 will resolve this. To prove this I like to request patch 49516 to tested with a RHEL8 debug kernel. If that passes then we can try applying the above commit against the RHEL7 kernel. |
