Now that Fedora support had been merged SLES11 SP2 is a very small change. I submitted a new patch at http://review.whamcloud.com/#change,3734 which is against master but will apply to b2_3 easily. Please note the compile fails due to improper setup of the build system for head. It fails because the build system doesn't see kernel source rpms. The b2_3 branch did compile successfully in the past with this patch. Since it's a small change I really hope it can go into 2.3 and 2.4.
Peter and I discussed this and decided that the best plan is for Lustre to be able to support SLES11SP1 and SLES11SP2, this will maintain backward compatibility whilst allowing a transition to the later kernels of SP2.
To do this I'm going to revert the changes in
lustre/kernel_patches/targets/2.6-sles11.target.in
and add a new
lustre/kernel_patches/targets/3.0-sles11.target.in
We will also need to make a small changes to lbuild and funcs to allow selection between these versions.
By supplying TARGET to lbuild the use should be able to select 2.6 or 3.0 but by default the build will build to the version of the kernel on which lbuild is being executed.

Once this lands Jenkins will be updated to product both versions.

Client side support has been added for 2.4 and with b2_3 closed we can close this ticket.
Landed for 2.4
