there is a patch in LU-1893 to fix this issue. Not sure if we should close this as a dup or update that patch for this LU

Seeing as you need to refresh the patch based on Andreas's feedback, why not update the patch to use this LU ticket - it is much easier for future tracking to have a separate ticket for each distinct issue.
