| Description |

The current ofd module registers itself as "obdfilter" in order to allow test scripts and /proc entries to be compatible. However, in the long term this should be changed to "ofd" for clarity, and a symlink can be created in /proc/fs/lustre "obdfilter -> ofd" (as osp does for osc /proc files) so that monitoring scripts and older tests (in compat mode) can continue to access the /proc files, but there is a clear separation between the two modules. |

Got around to updating the patch. With this patch the obd_type is now "ost" instead of obdfilter. Also fixed up the OSS / oss proc handling to match what mdt / MDS does. So proc is updated correctly and the obd_device is handled right but the file system writes to the log the OST device as obdfilter. Changing that will break down grade abilities. Well I will discuss that in LU-2161 on how to handle this. |
