The goal of the patch is to make NUMIOA factor management easier, by giving the ability to restrict the NIDs that a target (mdt or ost) registers on the MGS. By this means we can enforce client requests to go through the most appropriate network interface, ie the one that minimizes the NUMIOA factor. |

Liang It seems that we did not manage to get this into the 1.8.6-wc1 release. In light of the inspection feedback from Johann and Bobijam, would you have any concerns about a production site running with this patch applied? Might it be more appropriate to target this patch to land for the 2.1 release rather than a 1.8.x release? Please advise Peter |
