So just to be clear LU-2488 the Lustre T10 speedup code needs to land before http://review.whamcloud.com/#change,5993? Is there a dependance between these two patches (I don't see one in Gerrit).

The main patch from this ticket does not depend on LU-2488, however, if/when LU-2488 is landed the main patch can be slightly updated to get benefits from performance increase.

LU-10472 is landed for 2.12.
