Correct inaccurate references to Sun Microsystems or Oracle. Xyratex counts the Lustre logo among its corporate assets and the goodwill it represents. To protect this asset, Xyratex has included in the logo usage document specific usage guidelines for the Lustre logo and name. These guidelines should be followed to ensure proper usage of the Lustre trademark and to prevent any damage that could result from improper usage. Included is an updated Lustre logo in a few of the most common print and file formats. This new logo must be used in place of any existing Lustre logos in any of your technical, marketing and sales materials. The attribution line also must be updated to reflect Xyratex’s ownership of Lustre. More details about such usage and attribution can be found within the Lustre logo guidelines document. A complete Lustre logo package is also available for download at the www.xyratex.com/products/lustre/trademark Please contact trademarks@xyratex.com if you have any questions about using the Lustre logo or name. We appreciate your compliance in meeting the stated logo and name requirements |

I assume you guys have a patch ready? Can you please include a pointer to it? |

I removed the already-released versions, since they can't be retro-actively updated. This only affects new releases. |

Thanks Dan, Please send a working link. We will need to review as Lustre name is not an Intel property in which it can regulate how to properly note it's registration. Thanks, |

Hi Kevin Thanks for this information. I appreciate that you will not be able to read the internal link Dan mentions above, but the gist of it is that Intel has a standard practice relating to third party trademarks which is what we have been adhering to. However, I have forwarded the Xyratex package to our legal department soon and am awaiting guidance Regards Peter |

That's great Kevin. It's clearly important to get this stuff right for the next round of releases. The 2.4.0 release is already completed, but I will personally take ownership of this ticket and make any needed changes ahead of the 2.5 release. See you in Chicago! |
