And if the conclusion is that it is non-destructive and safe to run on a production file system, and we say as much in the manual, then even more important than all of that is to create/always-run a regression test that ensures that it remains safe, for every release! Not that I have any recollection of that ever regressing, but we'd be in some very hot water if ever it did. |
