RHEL6's kernel needs to be upgraded to the latest RHEL6.4 kernel since critical security vulnerability was reported. So, lustre-1.8 client needs to support RHEL6.4 kernel as well sooner. |

Bob Could you please look into what would be required to add client support to b1_8 for the latest RHEL6.4 kernel update? Thanks Peter |

As far as I can see no functional changes are needed. I can configure and build --disable_server against the newest el6 kernel just fine. I will push a patch to update ChangeLog and target files to the newer version. Don't think anything more is necessary. |

We may want to skip past -358.11.1 and go directly to -358.14.1. There is already a mod in progress to update master to -358.14.1; http://review.whamcloud.com/#/c/7055 |

I think that this ticket is well out of date |
