 Description

I need to join xyratex & seagate google accounts.

originally I made a mistake and created a new seagate gerrit account linked
to seagate google one - 2 gerrit accounts already cannot be joint; however,
it was (successfully?) removed. and having 1 gerrit linked to XX google, and
a separate google one I still fail to link another identity.

=== the common procedure:
http://review.whamcloud.com/
settings
Identities
Link another identity
Sign in with a Google Account
Chose another google one
Google asks for permissions to let gerrit to obtain some info->accept
get to the folioing page:

I tried:

  • different browsers;
  • to sign off & sign in again;
  • another personal gmail account;
  • to ask Zam to try - he has no problems to add/remove another one;

Please help.

Vitaly, Oleg says that this may affect several @xyratex.com accounts, where the users are no longer able to log in? Would it be possible for you to gather the different @xyratex.com users and their equivalent @seagate.com email addresses so that these can all be fixed at one time?

Investigation revealed the following:

mysql> select full_name, preferred_email, account_id from accounts where  full_name like '%vitaly%';

So, I see two things:

  1. After we deleted the other spurious Seagate account, another one was created (id 457).
  2. I am going to assume that the Google ID you are attempting to link to your existing account (135) has already been linked to your new Seagate account (457), thus accounting for the error you are seeing. If it's OK with you I can again try deleting the new account, and you can then link your new google account with your existing account (135).

very strange. yes, please delete it.

Account 457 deleted. Please try linking your accounts again. Note: do NOT try to sign in with your alternate/new google ID. Sign in with your old google id, then go through the link accounts procedure.

Joshua, thank you, I have succeeded to link them this time.

Andreas, people did not respond on my question so far, If someone appears, it will be posted here. thx.

It looks like there is a second case of duplicate UIDs:

  • Andrew Perepechko <andrew.perepechko@seagate.com>
  • Andrew Perepechko <andrew_perepechko@xyratex.com>

but I can't assign a patch review to the @seagate.com account. It would be better if they are merged.

I've e-mailed Andrew.

Haven't heard from Andrew since January 15. E-mailed on March 25, and never heard back. Re-open if this is still an issue.
