 Description   

For ticket LU-6319, we’re running tests that are on the ALWAYS_EXCEPT list to see which ones are still failing and which ones pass. Sanity test 42b has been on the ALWAYS_EXCEPT list for several years now and is failing with error

test_42b() "test destroy of file with cached dirty data"
sanity test_42b: @@@@@@ FAIL: 78 < 79 on sync

This failure is related to the Bugzilla ticket 9789 at https://bugzilla.lustre.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9789 . If this test is no longer valid, we should remove it.

This test also fails for review-zfs https://testing.hpdd.intel.com/test_sets/f7bbe500-e8ec-11e4-9e6e-5254006e85c2 and review-dne-part-1 https://testing.hpdd.intel.com/test_sets/5f96bbd4-e8c8-11e4-acb0-5254006e85c2 .

The patch in http://review.whamcloud.com/8671 is related to the "drop client cached pages on truncate lock callback" functionality tested by sanity 42b.
