For debugging and tunning LNET we would to be able to reset the stats /proc/sys/lnet/peers and /proc/sys/lnet/nis

Which specific values in nis and peers would you like to be able to reset? Things like reference counts and credits cannot be reset as they are values used to manage resources and resetting them would cause resource leaks (and probably trigger asserts).

ORNL is asking for the same feature. I just inquired about what our staff wants to do.

I think the only things that make sense to reset would be the "min" columns.
