It would be good if this bug at least had some comment in it.

Presumably you are concerned with filesystems formatted as ext4 without "-j", or is there some other issue here?

/dev/md1 was created with lustre_config as ost with journal device /dev/md9p2. then, using tune2fs -O ^has_journal /dev/md1 journaling was disabled. After this, mount -t lustre /dev/md1 /mnt/data1 produce stable kernel panic
