Running mdtest Single-shared-directory across the following matrix:

  • 8 and 16 clients
  • 8 and 16 threads per client
  • OSTs from DDN-pool
    -OSTs from NetApp-pool
    Versions compared:
    2.8.0 - b2_8 build 12
    2.8.53 - lustre-master build 3375

In all 8 test cases, the results for File Create are noticeably lower for 2.8.53 vs 2.8.0
Mdtest was run using the auster framework using the following extra options
export mdtest_THREADS=16
export mdtest_nFiles=400000
export mdtest_iteration=5
