Assign an ID to the new network driver ptl4lnd developped by Bull/Atos to support a Portals4 based LND for the BXI interconnect. I am going to post a patch for this. |

Gregoire, is this ptl4lnd based directly on the Portals API (i.e. it would be portable to other LNDs that implement the Portals 4 API), or would this be better named bxilnd? Please be aware that there is also work being done for LNet Multi-Rail in the multi-rail branch of fs/lustre-release that is planned to land for Lustre 2.10. It would be worthwhile to look at the code in that branch to see what potential conflicts exist, and what needs to be done with the new LND to integrate with that change. |

Also be aware that the time api lustre uses is being replaced by standard kernel functions and soon the typedefs in the LNet layer will be removed. Please make sure your drivers doesn't use typedefs and the lustre timer wrappers. |
