Some times it is desirable to place lustre traffic on a specific virtual lane or in case of OPA Virtual Fabric. Currently the Service ID of lustre traffic is calculated through the service port and the port space. Service ID can be mapped to Service Level. For more details refer to:

If we make the service port configurable per NI, then there will be more fine control over how to distribute Lustre traffic over the virtual lanes and how to control it via QoS.
