Linda to verify with Bryon and Peter if this should be in the project.

It is still worthwhile to add "Windows" into any section that mentions Samba or CIFS or SMB.

Very minimal change http://review.whamcloud.com/6133

We really need a full section to describe how to set up and tune Samba on Lustre, so this bug should be kept open.

The following bullet was included in Section 1.1 with http://review.whamcloud.com/#/c/6133/
"NFS and CIFS export: Lustre files can be re-exported using NFS (via Linux knfsd) or CIFS (via Samba) enabling them to be shared with non-Linux clients, such as Microsoft* Windows* and Apple* Mac OS X*."
No other mention of Samba is made in the manual.

Assigning to HPPD triage. This needs to be assigned to a subject expert to create the new section on setting up and tuning Samba on Lustre.
