 Description   

The new "lctl set_param -P" syntax for setting permanent configuration parameters in LU-3155 needs to be added to the Lustre manual.

I think the Lustre manual update should be done in two stages:

  • Add a new section describing "lctl set_param -P" in parallel with the existing "lctl conf_param" documentation. This new section should be marked and described with the "new in 2.5" tags like "<para condition='l25'>"
  • At some future date, remove mention of the "lctl conf_param" option from the manual.
