Lustre 2.x clients have lacked in performance when compared with 1.8.x clients. Recent work seems to be overcoming this problem, and should probably be captured in the Lustre manual once fully implemented. Brett, What are you thinking about specifically? Are you talking about reporting the performance improvements or description of functional changes that were made that resulted in performance improvements? -Jessica |

Brett, I'm a bit puzzled by this ticket. We typically do not discuss actual performance in the manual because it is highly dependent on the hardware and workload, and is of course variable based on the specific release. Looking at the provided link, I don't think there is anything particularly relevant to the manual, since even the change to internal implementation is detail that is not in the manual. I'm going to close this bug as "Won't Fix", but if you feel this is incorrect and I'm missing some aspect of your request, please reopen the ticket and clarify. |

Andreas, I'm a bit puzzled too. Not sure what I was getting at, so am fine closing this request. Jessica, thanks for your inquiry about what was needed, and am sorry for not responding months ago. My email filters seem to take Jira's and hide them in folders that I don't check. |
