An additional feature under development of the multi-rail umbrella is dynamic discovery. The documentation will need to be updated to capture dynamic discovery thoroughly. |

Recently, wo prepare to deployment a lustre with multi-rail, but i don't known how to enable dynamic discovery. We use lustre-2.10.3, it seems dynamic discovery is implementd in version 2.11. We have about 2 mgs/mds, 6 oss and 512 client nodes, how to configure static multi-rail with a large number of nodes ?

You are correct in that Dynamic Discovery is NOT present in 2.10.X and will be available with 2.11.X.
I am going to move your bigger question about how to configure MR with a large number of nodes without DD to an LU ticket so that one of our LNet engineers can respond. |
