It appears that the client is able to create the file with &lt;tt&gt;open(O_LOV_DELAY_CREATE)&lt;/tt&gt; and then calls &lt;tt&gt;ioctl(LL_IOC_LOV_SETSTRIPE)&lt;/tt&gt;, but the MDS returns &lt;tt&gt;-EINVAL&lt;/tt&gt; without much information in the logs (I don&apos;t think the &lt;tt&gt;debug=-1&lt;/tt&gt; mask is being set on the MDS for sanity.sh):&lt;/p&gt;
