[LU-11869] Whamcloud repo URL for 2.12 LTS

                <project id="10000" key="LU">Lustre</project>

Hi Peter,

We are in the process of switching from 2.10 LTS to 2.12 LTS on Sherlock (Lustre clients).

We like to use a single repo URL that doesn’t change across LTS versions, like https://downloads.whamcloud.com/public/lustre/latest-release/ for 2.10 LTS so that we automatically get updated packages when made available. We have reposync in place and compute nodes being redeployed quite often on this cluster so this way the cluster automatically gets updated lustre-client RPMs.

As of today, 2.12.0 is available in

latest-feature-release/
and

2.12.0/

But I assume that when 2.13 is out, it will land in latest-feature-release. We don't want to switch to 2.13 immediately when it's out but keep using 2.12.x

What wc repo can we use for 2.12.x LTS clients? If it doesn't exist yet, can you provide a single repo URL for it?

Thanks much!
Stephane

That's a good question. latest-release is always pointing to 'latest LTS'
As of today, latest LTS = 2.10.6 and will be 2.12.1 when it's available

I have created two new links to make things easier

latest-2.10-release ---> 2.10.6 (today and will be 2.10.7 and so on)
latest-2.12-release ---> 2.12.0 (today and will be 2.12.1 and so on)
</comment>

It's just a bit curious that 2.12.0 not considered as LTS, I'm not sure to understand that.
</comment>
