https://jira.whamcloud.com This file is an XML representation of an issue en-us 9.4.14 940014 05-12-2023 https://jira.whamcloud.com/browse/LU-12917 Lustre <p>Traditionally, open source software are distributed thanks to compressed tarball and optionally with some binary packages.</p> <p>The packages used the official tarball as source of truth.</p> <p>For some reason, no tarball is available on downloads.whamcloud.com and it could be interesting to provide one along with the various distribution packages, instead of relying on git clone + autogen.sh to get a working source tree.</p> <p>This will make installation instruction easier too.</p> <p> </p> <p>Is there another reason I missed which prevents providing this tarball?</p> LU-12917
