&lt;pre&gt;the &apos;ost_write&apos; doesn&apos;t mean that write goes to OST, it is a name for write request opcode which is OST_WRITE and is used on both OST and MDT (for DoM writes). That &apos;ost_write&apos; stats in &quot;mdc.*&quot; are about writes to MDT.&lt;/pre&gt;
