https://jira.whamcloud.com This file is an XML representation of an issue en-us 9.4.14 940014 05-12-2023 https://jira.whamcloud.com/browse/LU-16767 Lustre <p>Allow admins to specify a field width like "<tt>%12p</tt>" for eg. the process name to truncate it below the 16-character maximum that the kernel imposes, and give more room to the other fields to fit into the JobID limit.</p> <p>It may also be possible to have a negative field width like "<tt>%-8H</tt>" to use the last 8 characters of the short hostname instead of the first 8 (if over 8 characters long). This may have other issues, but can be useful in some cases, and would be up to the discretion of the admin.</p> LU-16767
