Recently it came to my attention that there is no way to gather hash usage information for libcfs hashes like how much individual buckets are utilized (i.e. contention rates and such), number of items hashed and so on.
This is very important to profile real usage stats at big sites like ORNL in order to devise better hashing algorithms.

As such I think this is a pretty worthwhile thing to have.

Liang I am assigning this to you initially for lack of better ideas, but that does not mean you must work on it right away or at all.
