Same with AM_CPPFLAGS and AC_LANG_SOURCE. I don't see these on my local automake-1.11.1 version, and it seems strange to have significant behaviour differences in a minor update.</p> <p>Looking more closely, the warnings are generated by autoconf-2.68, while I run autoconf-2.65 locally. So that is no reason to prevent the use of automake-1.12, but it would be nice to fix those autoconf warnings in a separate patch to avoid confusion for everyone.</p> <p>Patch for automake-1.12 is at <a href="http://review.whamcloud.com/4479" class="external-link" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">http://review.whamcloud.com/4479</a></p> <p>The build cleanups in <a href="https://jira.whamcloud.com/browse/LU-1199" title="lustre build system overhaul" class="issue-link" data-issue-key="LU-1199"><del>LU-1199</del></a> remove the "maximum" automake and autoconf version checks, and only have minimum versions.</p> Duplicate LU-1199 Development Rank 1|hzvbtr: Rank (Obsolete) 5480
