I assume the umask is applied by libc and it is really the "mode" permissions in a lower level mkdir() that are not correctly honored.</p> <p>On the client side (ppc64), I am running an experimental tag <a href="https://github.com/chaos/lustre/commits/2.3.59-1chaos3morrone" class="external-link" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">2.3.59-1chaos3morrone</a>. On the server side (x86_64), we have tag <a href="https://github.com/chaos/lustre/commits/2.3.58-6chaos" class="external-link" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">2.3.58-6chaos</a>.</p> <p>No more info at this time.
