lustre-initialization_1 failed with the following error in the MDS console log:

mgs_init0()) MGS: MGS filesystem method init failed: rc = -2

and the following in the client autotest log:

Starting mds1: -o user_xattr,acl  lustre-mdt1/mdt1 /mnt/mds1
mkdir -p /mnt/mds1; mount -t lustre -o user_xattr,acl lustre-mdt1/mdt1 /mnt/mds1
mount.lustre: mount lustre-mdt1/mdt1 at /mnt/mds1 failed: No such file or directory
