https://jira.whamcloud.com This file is an XML representation of an issue en-us 9.4.14 940014 05-12-2023 https://jira.whamcloud.com/browse/LU-3135 Lustre <p>I am trying to use the Wireshark plugin Makefile as is but cannot get it to work without modifying it.</p> <p>When I get wireshark using the CentOS package manager (which the Makefile assumes), the /usr/include/wireshark directory seems to be missing some header files needed by the plugins.</p> <p>Also, the WS_VERSION is not getting anything so the plugins cannot be installed in the proper place.</p> <p>I suspect there are issues with how the whole "pkg-config" thing works. I don't know enough about package management to figure this one out so I ended up downloading the full Wireshark source tree, building/installing it, then modifying the plugin Makefile to hard-code paths.</p> <p>If there is a way to get the package manager to work in this context, please update the README file in the lustre/contrib/wireshark directory to explain what must be done.</p> LU-3135
