<comment id="81818" author="rhenwood" created="Thu, 17 Apr 2014 10:54:56 +0000"  >
This ticket defines the behaviour when LFSCK has completed all of it's scanning phases. Currently LFSCK stops running after all scanning phases are complete.

With 'continuous' operation, LFSCK will instead start again from the beginning, and never stop.

What do you think?
</comment>
                            <comment id="81822" author="yong.fan" created="Thu, 17 Apr 2014 12:16:28 +0000"  >
Why we need the LFSCK to run repeatedly? In fact, we can trigger LFSCK periodically via at/crond, and similar.
</comment>
                            <comment id="82008" author="adilger" created="Sat, 19 Apr 2014 01:46:48 +0000"  >
The intention is that the administrator could turn down the maximum scan rate and then leave LFSCK running always. If it is started by cron, then in some cases it will already be running, and in other cases it will be finished and stop running for 1/2 a day until it starts again.

I don't think this is a critical feature, just a small improvement that could be done for a future release.
</comment>
