I made a debug patch for sanityn.sh test 32a, could you patch that and run the test again?</p> <p>Here are the results from your debug patch</p> <p>checking cached lockless truncate<br/> lockless_truncate count 1: 0<br/> lockless_truncate count 2: 18<br/> /lustre/testfs/f32a has size 8000000 OK<br/> lockless_truncate count 3: 18<br/> sanityn test_32a: @@@@@@ FAIL: lockless truncate doesn't use cached locks</p> <p>James, could you verify the fix here: <a href="http://review.whamcloud.com/#change,1901" class="external-link" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">http://review.whamcloud.com/#change,1901</a></p> <p>sanityn.sh test 32a test with a static file size 10M, but your system has 28 OSTs, thus a write to 10M won't take extent lock on all OSTs, and some of the later truncate (18 actually, 10 others get lock from cache) will go through lockless_truncate.</p> <p>The patch fixed the issue.
