My understanding is that the patch is currently based on Lustre 2.6.0.</p> <p>Ideally the patch would be based on the current master branch. However, if there are a large number of non-trivial conflicts applying the patch to master, it may be necessary to rewind your local branch to 2.7.0 or 2.6.0 (e.g. "git checkout -b 2.6.0") and pushing the patch there as a starting point.</p> <p>It should be possible to use "<tt>git am &lt;patch file&gt;</tt>" to import the Git patch file (which may even apply it to the original commit that it was based on) so that the original author (NAGUCHI Yoshinori &lt;y-naguchi@jp.fujitsu.com&gt;) is preserved. If not, then the patch could be applied with "<tt>git apply --author="NAGUCHI Yoshinori &lt;y-naguchi@jp.fujitsu.com&gt;" &lt;patch file&gt;</tt>".</p> LU-6495
