https://jira.whamcloud.com This file is an XML representation of an issue en-us 9.4.14 940014 05-12-2023 https://jira.whamcloud.com/browse/LU-717 Lustre <p>The MMP patch committed to upstream used the init_utsname()&#45;&gt;systemname field instead of init_utsname()&#45;&gt;nodename field for filling in the MMP block.This incorrectly will cause MMP messages to report the system "Linux" is using the node instead of the correct hostname.</p> <p>This was introduced in the port of the MMP patches from RHEL5 to RHEL6, not caught during inspection due to the required API change at that line and other massive code reorganization, and then merged upstream to ext4, and also merged back into our RHEL5 MMP patch. </p> <p>The MMP patches that use sysname should be changed to use nodename instead.</p> LU-717
