https://jira.whamcloud.com This file is an XML representation of an issue en-us 9.4.14 940014 05-12-2023 https://jira.whamcloud.com/browse/LU-7514 Lustre <p>In order to be able to use project quota efficiently, it makes sense to be able to print the current project ID of a file, search for files owned by a specific project, as well as specify the project ID at file creation time.</p> <p>This means adding a <tt>--project=ID</tt> option to <tt>lfs find</tt> to print only filenames that match the specified project ID.</p> <p>For <tt>lfs getstripe</tt> the <tt>--project</tt> option will print out the project ID of the file, or directory, as I don't think there is any support for <tt>stat</tt> or <tt>ls</tt> to print out the project ID of a file or directory.</p> <p>For <tt>lfs setstripe</tt> the <tt>--project=ID</tt> option will create the file with the specified project ID, if the user has permission to do so. I'm not 100% sure if this is needed - what is the planned user interface for setting the project ID of a new file or directory, besides inheriting the project ID from the parent?</p> LU-7514
