Presumably you are concerned with filesystems formatted as ext4 without "-j", or is there some other issue here? /dev/md1 was created with lustre_config as ost with journal device /dev/md9p2. then, using tune2fs -O ^has_journal /dev/md1 journaling was disabled. After this, mount -t lustre /dev/md1 /mnt/data1 produce stable kernel panic stacktrace: md1: detected capacity change from 0 to 42949672960 md1: unknown partition table unknown partition table md: minimum guaranteed speed: 1000 KB/sec/disk. md: using maximum available idle IO bandwidth (but not more than 200000 KB/sec) for resync. md: using 128k window, over a total of 20971520 blocks.
