This issue relates to the following test suite run: https://testing.hpdd.intel.com/test_sets/a05ca6d8-2548-11e7-9de9-5254006e85c2.

The sub-test test_27D failed with the following error:

 test 30: create composite file, traverse components ........ fail (exit status 1)
llapi_layout_test: llapi_layout_test.c:1447: test31: assertion 'fd >= 0' failed: path = /mnt/lustre/d27D.sanity/f31, fd = -1, errno = 22
 test 31: add/delete component to/from existing file ........ fail (exit status 1)
 sanity test_27D: @@@@@@ FAIL: llapi_layout_test failed

Test should be skipped if MDS does not support PFL.
