Description

Noticing the following troubling behavior on a handful of nodes in our cluster. Although a node has successfully mounted the filesystem, there are instances where it cannot access files:

client44~$ ls /lustre/fsw/jsmith/myfavfile
ls: cannot access '/lustre/fsw/jsmith/myfavfile': No such file or directory

client44~$ ls /lustre/fsw/jsmith/ 
ls: cannot access '/lustre/fsw/jsmith/': No such file or directory

client44~$ ls /lustre/fsw/ 
jsmith (... other directories...)

client44:~$ ls /lustre/fsw/jsmith
myfavfile toto

client44~$ ls /lustre/fsw/jsmith/myfavfile
/lustre/fsw/jsmith/myfavfile
